Japanese Acers

Acers, also known as Japanese maples are a very popular choice in any British Garden due to their stunning and delicate foliage. Being a family favorite, we have an extensive range of Acers, in fact we have a whole greenhouse dedicated to house them. We stock many varieties from 30cm all the way up to 10ft.

Japanese Acers are fairly easy to grow and can be grown in containers or in the ground. They prefer to be situated with in a sheltered spot, as strong winds can scorch their leaves, they also prefer dappled shade over a sunny spot. Best to plant with slightly acidic soil. Watering must be consistent, you must not let them dry out, as again this can cause their leaves to turn brown, however over watering can be equally damaging.
